Adverse events following booster doses of diphtheria-tetanus-inactivated poliovirus and acellular pertussis vaccines for 4-year-old children in The Netherlands.

چکیده
The aim of the study was to assess the incidence and severity of local reactions and systemic events among 4-year-old children receiving a fifth dose of diphtheria-tetanus-inactivated poliovirus (dT-IPV) and acellular pertussis (aP) vaccines. Of 810 children, 483 had no adverse events following immunization. Of the reported local reactions of 281 children, pain was the most frequent (n=246). Eighty-one children developed redness, and 54, swelling. Pain, reduced use of the arm, redness, and swelling occurred significantly more often at the dT-IPV injection site than at the aP injection site (p<0.05). Local reactions were mainly mild and transient. Among the 104 reported systemic events, fever was the most frequent (n=42). In general, the vaccinations for the 4-year-olds are well tolerated.

Antibody persistence after primary and booster doses of a pentavalent vaccine against diphtheria, tetanus, acellular pertussis, inactivated poliovirus, haemophilus influenzae type B vaccine among Thai children at 18-19 months of age.
The World Health Organization recommends a booster dose of a pertussis-containing vaccine for children aged 1-6 years, preferably during the second year of life. This study assessed the immunogenicity and safety of a pentavalent combination vaccine containing diphtheria, tetanus, acellular pertussis, inactivated poliovirus, and conjugated-Hib polysaccharide antigens, [(DTaP-IPV//PRP-T (Pentaxim...

BACKGROUND Since 1998, all children in Canada have been immunized with a pentavalent diphtheria and tetanus toxoids, acellular pertussis, inactivated poliovirus, Haemophilus influenzae type b conjugate vaccine (DTaP-IPV-Hib) produced by one manufacturer (Pentacel). Recently, another DTaP-IPV-Hib (Infanrix-IPV-Hib) became available. Data on the interchangeability of these products was lacking. ...

OBJECTIVES To determine the reactogenicity and immunogenicity of a fourth dose of 2 three-component acellular pertussis vaccines combined with diphtheria-tetanus-acellular pertussis (DTaP) when administered at preschool age to children primed in infancy with 3 doses of the same DTaP and who had received a diphtheria-tetanus (DT) dose at the age of 12 months. متن کاملSafety and reactogenicity of the combined diphtheria-tetanus-acellular pertussis-inactivated poliovirus-Haemophilus influenzae type b (DTPa-IPV/Hib) vaccine in healthy Vietnamese toddlers: An open-label, phase III study
The introduction of combination vaccines plays a significant role in increasing vaccine acceptance and widening vaccine coverage. Primary vaccination against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, poliomyelitis and Haemophilus influenza type b (Hib) diseases has been implemented in Vietnam. In this study we evaluated the safety and reactogenicity of combined diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis-inactivated po...

An understanding of the antibody persistence elicited by a combined tetanus, diphtheria, 5-component acellular pertussis, and inactivated poliovirus vaccine (Tdap-IPV) after adolescent vaccination is important to optimize booster dosing intervals. Our objectives were to compare the safety and immunogenicity of Tdap-IPV coadministered with hepatitis B vaccine (HepB) and sequential administration...
